Come out to enjoy a guided day that allows you to re-center in the midst of the demands of everyday life. You’ll also get to connect with other local women in a warm and supportive environment. Plus, you don’t have to travel to a resort spa or a foreign country for a bit of R+R. This event is super easy to attend and is always held at a metro accessible location in the DC Metro area.
What is Self Care Day?
Self Care Day is your opportunity to step away from the stresses of life and connect back with your peaceful center. It’s a fun, unique event that gives you the opportunity to take care of yourself while also meeting like-minded women in the DC area. The environment is welcoming and inclusive. It’s okay to come even if you don’t know anyone else attending- by the end of the day you will! The Self Care Day agenda balances active and reflective activities to keep your interest throughout the day, and the structure of the event makes it easy to stay focused on giving yourself a heaping dose of TLC. You’ll walk away from Self Care Day relaxed and restored, with a fresh outlook on your future.
What Happens at Self Care Day?
Women just like you gather for a pampering day of self care at a metro accessible location in the DC Metro area. The day includes mindful, restorative activities, creative and active exercises, and a healthy lunch. Every part of the day is designed to increase your self-awareness, your sense of self compassion, and reduce your stress. All you have to do is show up and follow along with the day – everything will be taken care of for you!

|You’ll be guided through a restorative set of exercises designed to provide you with a greater connection to all aspects of your well-being. This will help reduce your stress right away. All the activities are fun and easy for everyone to participate in.|

|After an invigorating morning, we’ll connect over a delicious and healthy meal.|
|1:00 PM||Self Care Deep Dive: Quiet Reflection|
|One of the best parts of Self Care Day is the quiet you experience – not just physically around you, but in your mind. When your mind is quiet, you can reflect on life and re-center your thinking. You’ll have a choice of several reflective activities to guide you during this quiet time.|
|2:00 PM||Self Care Dream Time: A Vision for the Future|
|To wrap up the day you’ll use a creative tool to connect with your vision and desires for your future. You may be surprised by what you’re able to unearth with this hands on element of the day.|
|4:00 PM||Self Care Day Send Off!|
|Take your pick from a few parting gifts and receive words of encouragement to carry with you back into your daily life.|
When is the Next Self Care Day?
This event is held up to two times a year, typically in June and December. The next event will be held in December 2017.
